Where Charleston's Wedding Community
Comes Together

Before the wine was poured, conversations were already filling every corner of The Hidden House.

The room filled quickly. Small groups formed around the space as vendors shared stories, exchanged business information, and welcomed new faces into the conversation.

When Casey started her officiant business in 2020, she found herself scheduling one-on-one coffee meetings, venue tours, and introductions with other wedding professionals. While those conversations were valuable, she realized there wasn't a place where the industry could gather together.

So she created one.

What started as a casual happy hour has grown into networking events, coffee meetups, styled shoots, and collaborations that bring together every corner of Charleston's wedding industry.

"The networking events started as a forum to meet new vendors, share ideas, and problem solve," Casey said. "I've always tried to keep them as approachable as possible. Whether you've been in business for twenty years or you're just getting started, the events are open for everyone."

The evening was also supported by local sponsors, including Elevate Spinal Care and On The Coast Property Group, two Charleston businesses investing in the wedding community and the people who make it thrive.

Casey described the evening in three words: Collaborate. Discover. Inspire.

Some vendors were just starting their business, some relocating from somewhere else, and some had been in the industry for decades. Conversations drifted from one corner of the venue to the next as people were building connections.

One photographer from TNT Digital Photos laughed when asked how many networking events he'd attended. "I've been to so many I can't even count," he said. "I always learn how to better my business in a new way."

His experience reflected one of the many ways Charleston's networking community has helped local vendors grow.

After spending nearly a decade in and around the wedding industry, Hannah Robinson had always envisioned a career in wedding planning. After moving to Charleston, networking events helped her find her place in the local industry.

Together, their experiences reflected what the evening was all about: creating opportunities to learn from one another, build meaningful relationships, and strengthen Charleston's wedding community.

The Hidden House was a fitting setting for the evening.

Natural light filled the brand new second-floor event space while soft pink details and floral installations warmed the room.

The florist for the evening, Smart Botanic Art, installed an incredible living piece that served as a striking backdrop while showcasing her signature living plant installations, designed to continue growing long after the event.

Throughout the evening, Bri Hall Creative moved effortlessly through the room, bringing warmth and enthusiasm while creating behind-the-scenes content that reflected the spirit of the gathering.

Photographer Allison Brownlow Photo documented the evening, capturing the candid conversations, thoughtful details, and moments of connection that unfolded throughout the space.

Guests also enjoyed a filled to order cannoli bar by LowCo Sugar Crew Cannolis, adding a sweet touch to the evening and another place for conversations to unfold.

Chucktown Scooters even brought one of their signature scooters to the event, giving attendees a firsthand look at a unique rental option for weddings and celebrations.

For Casey, bringing those businesses together at The Hidden House felt like a natural partnership.

She had already known owner Brittany through Love and Bunches, her mobile bar company. So when The Hidden House opened its new second-floor event space, hosting one of Charleston's wedding networking events felt like a perfect opportunity.

"Their team makes my job exceedingly easy," Casey said. "They provide a beautiful space and excellent wine, so it was a no-brainer."

But for Casey, the venue is only part of what makes the evening memorable. What matters most is what happens once people walk through the door.

"The hope is that everyone leaves having made at least one meaningful connection," Casey said. "Whether that's finding someone to collaborate with, recommending another vendor to a couple, or simply walking away with a new friendship."

She believes that's what sets Charleston apart.

"We are very collaborative, not competitive," she said. "It helps raise the industry here as a whole."

By the end of the evening, it was clear those three words weren't just a hope. Throughout the room, people had collaborated, discovered new connections, and found inspiration for what comes next.

Vendors left with fresh ideas, meaningful relationships, and a few more familiar faces than when they arrived.
